    Happy Teacher's Day

    Teacher's Day is a tribute to the hard work and devotion of the teachers all year long, to educate a child. In India, teacher's day is celebrated on 5th of September every year. Indian Teacher's Day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a zealous advocate of education and one of the greatest scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the first Vice President and the second President of India. As a mark of respect to this phenomenal teacher, his birthday came to be observed as Teacher's Day in the country. 

    Personality Development workshop

    On August 27th,2015, students of CBSE i attended a workshop on personality development. It was conducted by Ms.Tayal in association with Primary Plus. It was an interactive session where students were taught many ways in which they could improve their personality








    Visit to Shanti Devi Arya Kanya Gurukul

    Students of class I to VI CBSE-I visited Shanti Devi Arya Kanya Gurukul, a residential school for girls on 3rd September 2015.

    Gurukul provides necessary and quality education at Delhi, to the young tribal girls from India’s north-eastern province who are afflicted by the terrorism activities.

    Shanti Devi Arya Kanya Gurukul is successfully looking after these girls providing them all basic and necessary facilities like shelter, cloths, food, education and medical etc.
    It is wisely said that ‘with a girl’s education, whole house, society and nation gets educated’. Therefore, educating girls is very important; in fact, it is the right of girls to get education. 
    At Shanti Devi Arya Kanya Gurukul, Sainik Vihar, girls are given preschool education to make them capable of entering the regular schools of Delhi. Presently, there are 16 girls who are undergoing this in-house training. The older inmates of gurukul study in SM Arya Public School, Kendriya Vidhyalas and KIIT School
    Apart from the education, the girls are nurtured to be confident, responsible citizen and capable enough to look after themselves. Also, they are imparted with the education of Indian values. Holy books like Ramayan, Bhagwat Geets and Vedic Mantras are recited to them. In order to make them able to safeguard and protect themselves, they are given the self-defense training.

    INVESTITURE CEREMONY, CBSE i (2015-16)
    Monday, the 31st August was a special day at DAV, Pushpanjali as CBSE i Student Council Investiture Ceremony was held for the very first time for the session 2015-16. After two rounds of written test and personal interview, the selected students took oath in the ceremony in the presence of our esteemed guests- Mr. Arun Mehta(Dist. Chair Administrator, Rotary Club), Mr. Sanjay Garg ( President, Rotary Club ) and Mr. J.P. Ahuja ( Secretary, Rotary Club )The oath was administered by the principal of the school, Mrs. Rashmi Raj Biswal. In her address to the students, she laid stress on good character and to maintain a balance between studies and additional responsibilities. The students promised to fulfill their duties with full integrity and zeal.The council members were also joined with class representatives from each class. The list of selected students is as follows:-
