A rendezvous with Chacha Nehru

The day was beautiful after the downpour, the skies seem to pour some more and in the midst of all this we set out to see the remnants of the glorious past of our beloved Chacha Nehru.  Chacha Nehru, as the children loved to call him was so popular among the kids of that time and perhaps this love will never cease to exist.

so excited for the trip

Did we pose well?!

Well, we hoped to get a glimpse into the golden pages of history and that is exactly what we got. We started with the museum and it almost felt like we had gone back in time!! Our guide took us on a journey into the life of the political leaders of that time. Chacha Nehru's bedroom, drawing room and the study are preserved very carefully and we couldn't ask for more.

The museum tells of the struggles and adversities which the leaders of the past faced in the hands of the British through photographs, manuscripts, newspapers and what not,all stand tall to give evidence of the struggles of our leaders. We got a glimpse into the whole Nehru family and also some significant leaders like Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai and others. From there,we were taken to a room where a model of the Parliament House of that time was depicted and it almost looked real.

Then, came the most fascinating part of the museum- the gift gallery. It was adorned with all the gifts Chacha Nehru had received in his lifetime from different leaders of several countries. There were gifts from China,Somalia, Japan,Nepal,Burma,Tehran,Ceylon  to name a few. We also saw the prestigious Bharat Ratna award with which Chacha Nehru was honoured.

With this,we completed our journey and came back with a plethora of memories fresh in our young minds.

A little fun harmed none

Elocution: An art

Right from the ruler of the Roman empire Julius Caesar to Abraham Lincoln, from world leaders like Winston Churchill to Barack Obama everyone has spellbound the world with their orator ship. Due to the increasing exposure globally we aspire to bring the best out in our kids with opportunities like the Inter House Elocution Competition on the topic

   Allegiance to the nation

The students prepared for the competition very well telling us about how one can be a good citizen to his nation. The nation is just like a mother who nurtures us and it becomes our moral duty to respect and honour it in every way we can. One should be a good law abiding citizen, work for the welfare of its citizens, pay taxes on time and do other such things which contribute towards the well-being of the nation. The students who excelled at convincing us all regarding the loyalty to the nation are:
